Overnight Oats

There’s nothing more satisfying than waking up to a ready-made breakfast.

There’s nothing more satisfying than waking up to a ready-made breakfast – no prep, no fuss and you’re guaranteed that essential healthy energy boost. Soaking oats overnight or even for a few hours is something I do regularly; the flavours really come together and you can be rushed for time and still have a delicious bowl of oats before starting the day.

This recipe is also very versatile and you can substitute ingredients for different fruits, nuts or milk – but, being a nut butter fiend, I definitely recommend adding Nut Blend Nut Butter or almond butter for an enhanced flavour!

INGREDIENTS (MAKES ONE BOWL):

  • 8 tbsp oats
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp Nut Blend Perfect Nut Butter
  • 250ml water or milk
  • Optional: 2 tbsp gelled chia seeds

TOPPINGS:

  • Blueberries
  • Sliced apple
  • Raisins
  • Raw cacao nibs
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Roasted almonds
  • Nut butter

Mix the oats, cinnamon, nut butter and water in a bowl until all the ingredients are evenly combined. Then simply stir in your toppings or add them in the morning before serving. Either way, it’s so easy to throw everything together, leave it in the fridge and know your breakfast is ready to go – and whether it’s pre- or post-workout, your body will feel great afterwards!
