Operational Lead at Mayfair
Area of expertise: Circuit based, boxing fitness
After working 19 years in an office environment, Roger took the decision to follow his passion for health and fitness and become a Personal Trainer. He successfully qualified with a Diploma in Personal Training and Sports Massage Therapy through Premier International Training in 2005 and commenced employment with Matt Roberts in May of that year as a Bootcamp instructor.
As the majority of the club’s clients work in the Square Mile & Mayfair in high pressured industries such as law, banking and insurance, Roger understands the importance that exercise plays in their lifestyle whether it be posture correction, health gains or just the enjoyment of participating in sports.
Whilst working in the City himself, Roger trained regularly and saw the benefits that this made to his life. He believes that everybody should be able to feel good about themselves and be motivated into living a healthy lifestyle through fitness and sensible nutrition.
His training expertise lie in cardio based workouts such as running, circuits and boxercise at which he is a qualified instructor. Roger took up White Collar Boxing in 2004 and was involved in three fights, two of them taking place at Britain’s spiritual home of boxing, York Hall in Bethnal Green. He enjoys taking part in running events ranging from 5km races to half marathons, his favourite being the Great North Run which he has competed in many times.
