Rob began working as a Personal Trainer in 2004 after finishing his degree in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Bath. Alongside working as a PT, Rob gained experience as a Strength Coach working with the academy squads at Leicester Tigers and Saracens Rugby Club. In addition to this, he continued to broaden his knowledge base by spending time working with the Amateur Rowing Association as a Sports Development Coach.

However, it was working with his personal training clients that Rob found most rewarding and since joining Matt Roberts in 2008 he has consistently worked to develop his skills as a trainer.

Now armed with many years of experience in the fitness industry, Rob has come to understand the importance of building trusting and cooperative relationships with clients in order to find their unique route to success. Since his appointment as manager this is a philosophy that Rob encourages all the Chelsea trainers follow.

One of Rob’s biggest personal achievements to date took place in the summer of 2007 when he and a friend completed a ‘Deca-Ironman’ to raise £50,000 for Leukaemia research. The challenge took 3 weeks to complete and included running 10 marathons in 10 days!

These days Rob enjoys much less extreme endeavours such as playing for his local football team, surfing and the occasional round of golf.
